◦Delylah♫, blocking someone doesn't block you from seeing their questions and answers....but the other way around. It would make more sense for you to ask someone to block you if you really don't want to see their questions and answers.

Hello,

In most cases you should set a good example and not block your neighbor here. I enjoy sparring with people that disagree with me... it is good mental gymnastics for the both of us. If someone verbally insults me or somehow breaks the Yahoo guidelines I enjoy handling that myself and do not rat them out.

If a person is threatening physical harm or sexually harassing you then you are entitled to defend yourself and block them out. Also when a person cuts me off the answers as has happened before I assume I hit a raw nerve somehow and have won the argument by default even if I do not get my ten points.

Regards,

Michael Kelly

I wouldn't block anyone that wants to have an honest, civil, discussion/debate.

I would block someone who resorts to name-calling, making fun of, and cursing at Christians. The Bible says not to argue with fools and not to throw your pearls to the swine.

Some people are truly mean, some are just messing with you....its hard to know the difference.

I have found that it may take a while to come up with the best response but by then...they have been delete or reported anyway.

Sometimes.

Sometimes, in order to prevent myself from saying something ugly and not presenting myself in a Christ-like way, I'll block a user. Especially if it is a user who makes a point to answer my questions in a rude manner.

I think its better to avoid someone than to allow yourself to be riled into anger. I do think its immature just to block people who don't share your opinions, though.

Lorreign -- it blocks them from answering MY questions. I'm talking about the people who make a point to answer certain people's questions with insults and immaturity. I block stalkers to prevent them from spamming my questions with their silliness ... and therefore to prevent me from "losing my religion". If I don't particularly care for a person's attitude or viewpoints, I don't click on their questions.

I had to block Lee Chamberlain because her answers were somewhat disrespectful and racist.

Surely. we are to love all ppl, but doesnt mean we are to be a doormat to anyone. Many dont want truth and will never accept it. We arent to let them hassle us and make our lives has stress by tolearing their hassling of our Christian values. There are a few on here that do just that, and I hear it from others as well as myself. We may block you to stop the hassle when you are mean . BUt, we dont block you from Heaven. we continue to pray for you, and its your choice whether you go there or not. Nor ours. We arent responsible for your salvation, only you are. Depends on if you will follow Jesus or not, to obedience and not just believing.
I have had a few write me and tell me I have to talk to them, its my job to save them. Whats weird is I used to think that. Till I read where GOd says only we are responsible for our own salvation with fear and trembling. I cant save anyone, nor can I make them go to God. Even God wont force that, its all CHOICE. BUt, I can live truth and speak truth, and be sure I still hold onto my peace, love and Joy of God, without allowing some athiest to steal it from me, by writing me tons of junk daily. No, we dont have to speak truth over and over, we just speak it and leave it with you. But, when ppl mock us, hassle us, and use disrespect, absoluty not are we expected to tolerate that. WE dont love the sin and we dont tolerate it We love the sinner, and we pray. SO stop trying to bring on the gult trip. If you dont like the words of God coming at ya, then go to another site, such as mytology, or science there is tons there for you to love, but none of it saves you. God bless you in your search. I pray you find it in time.

We are asked to love our neighbor, not endure our neighbor's trolling activites (assuming that is the case).
