If you can afford it then yes, because maybe his parents have helped you out when needed. This is a time to be happy that his parents are still together. But if you can not afford a high dollar gift, then make something for them. It is the thought that counts and having something that you both did together is even better then a high dollar gift. Best of luck and Hope they have a wonderful Anniversary!!!

Dear concerned,
Hi, its nice to give a gift on ur spouse, s parents anniversary but u must know that it is not a must to give a expensive gift always because ur intentions are judged .So u can invite them for a dinner cooked by yourself which will indicate ur true feelings and hospitality and a flower boque to remind them of you always.Best wishes and regards.
yours sincerely,
Muhammad Babar.

sure would, first of all they are his/her parents, as far as them being tightwads, its their money they know how much they can spend it may seem to you that it is not much but it may be all the can afford, and why would you not want your spouse to spend what he/she wants to on his/her parents

Depends on who are you are? rich or poor? kind or stingy? sacrifice or selfish?

Make a ur dear happy, you will be happy too...if u can, you should consider your spouse's need. Happy family at the end..

Make some muscle in your head but use the muscle in your heart

it actually depends on wether u have the money or not if u can afford it and its somethin meaningful sure but if u cant afford it and it'll make you 2 struggle than it really wouldn't be worth it.

go ahead, they are his parents. besides I don't see the correlation unless you're trying to say "they NEVER buy us anything decent, expensive etc.."

if so, he knows it but still wants to treat them.

let him

some folks are tight b/c of what they have lived through

If we could afford it, of course I would agree to it. I don't measure my gifts to other people based on what they give me. Generosity comes from the heart.
