Whole wheat bread
Skim milk
apples
oranges
bananas
lettuce
tomatoes
celery
carrots
tilapia
whole wheat pasta
ground turkey (not beef)
frozen chicken thighs
yogurt
fiber cereal
cheese
deli meats (lean cut like turkey or chicken, no beef)
tomato sauce.

The best thing to do is plan for five meals a week. Monday through Friday. Then, get your list done before you go to the store. ONLY get what's on the list. Don't stray and get snacks and cakes and sodas and that sort of thing. It's pretty easy if you go with someone, so you can say "no" to each other.

Im in the same boat. My carpool buddy-who happens to be a vegatarian- made me a list... Lots of diffent types of beans, lots of soy products (soy milk, tofu-cant stand it!!!) to substitute milk (i dont care wht anyone says, milk is fatty and causes weight gain. Skim milk would be a better alternative if you cant stomache soy milk.) Stay away from red meat- hard on digestion. Rice cakes are good. Those "100 calorie" snacks are good- they come in different items such as oreos, wheat thins, chips ahoy etc... Baked chips, salsa, pure 100% fruit juices, turkey bacon....and as always, lots of fruits and vegatables.
Good luck!!!!!

a good snack is a rice cake- only like 30ish calories in some of the plain ones and if you want to add something to it sugar free jelly is low in calories and goes great!

fat free milk,,or rice milk or soy milk,,lots of veggies and fruit,,(watch banannas and avocados),,,wheat germ,,,yogart,,prunes (wanna keep the pipes well cleansed and in working order). Water!! watch out for anything artificial,,too many carbs,,,sodium is bad,,,read lables and use your brain! make sure you eat the number of calories your doctor recommends. Good luck,,,stay positive~
Don't neglect your need for excersize either,,,makes you sleep good,,and you use up more calories sleeping then when awake!
