Most grain like corn, maze , wheat, but they are all food products. There have been some research on grass and corn stalk process but I have not Sean anything.

Ethanol fuel is a BAD idea. It costs more in energy to produce and distribute than it provides when it is used.
It is expensive and not environmentally friendly.
It does NOT reduce dependence on foreign oil supplies because of the manner in which it is processed and transported.
If you remove the subsidy and tax it like other fuels it is more costly.
It is inefficient.
It is inflationary. It pushes up the cost of almost ALL food because corn is food for livestock, people and pets and the cost of corn is MUCH higher now.

EthAnol is a form of alcohol and is formed the way all alcohols are, in a still. Sugar is the main ingredient. (whether the sugar comes from corn or elsewhere its still sugar).
