There is homosexual behavior throughout the animal kingdom, not just in humans. Refer to Bonobo chimps, they practice homosexual behavior. Wonder if anyone can say they have a choice in that matter. If God did create everything, then why would anyone have a problem with homosexuality (which God obviously created). It is amazing with the religious believers, they are quick to say God created everything, but then say that homosexuality is wrong and God does not condone that. If God created everything, then he created homosexuality, plain and simple. And if God did not created homosexuality, then God obviously did not create everything.

If homosexuality was not a choice, God would not have destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah because of it. He has called homosexuality an abomination. Why would he say this if there were no choice? God is just; he cannot condemn a man unjustly. It is not in His character to do so. Homosexuality is satan's tool, designed to confuse the minds of men. You may think that homosexuality is a sexual issue, but satan is a non-sexual being and he has a greater purpose. If you are seeking the truth, you must dig deeper than the world requires you to. Otherwise, you'll never find it.

your question cannot be correctly answered because you assert that homosexuality is NOT a choice. There is no definitive proof that it is a God-given trait.
The only answer I can offer?--
In the New Testament God says He is against homosexuality.
From growing up with friends who are/have been homosexual...every person I've known personally that was homosexual made the DECISION to pursue that lifestyle after meeting and becoming friends with other people who were already actively homosexual.
Several of my friends that were gay in high school and college have since CHOSEN not to pursue that lifestyle any longer--each of them is happily married and have told me that they no longer desire to go back to their old life. They don't feel like they are "in denial" or not "being themselves."
The only explanation I can offer is what the Bible says and what people I know have experienced.

i imagine you've a valid element. As you receives human beings quoting texts with a view to justify lack of comprehend-how. even if for some non secular those it fairly is the way it fairly works, blindly follow the bible and what the church says, as questioning or maybe pondering deviating from that direction is a 'sin' it is about keeping administration for the church and in basic terms because it has lengthy gone on for hundreds of years would not make it any extra excusable. i'm a sturdy believer in each to their very own, so I resent it at the same time as others are self righteous or experience the opt to guage. supply me a rational, heartfelt argument and that i'll pay interest. Quote me texts and meaning no longer some thing, except a distortion of any kind of reality.

The most important thing in my opinion is why does it make a difference if it's not a choice? It's still a sin.
All of us are born sinners. All of us have a bent towards self-fulfilling and self-pleasing sin. It is not a choice for any of us to be born sinners. It is a choice to indulge in that sin and live a lifestyle contrary to the Word of God.
Homosexuality is a sin in which some people are born...but this does not give them the right to justify that sin by using the excuse "I was born this way." I say...join the human race...I was born a sinner to. But thankfully, we have a Savior who sacrificed himself and gives us a path to salvation. Only catch is...he says "go and sin no more!"
We must all turn from sin...this is a sacrifice...this is difficult. Jesus says "take up YOUR cross and follow me." Each of us has a cross to bear in following Christ. For each of us our sacrifices are different. The real sin, is trying to justify sin and make it "okay" in the eyes of God. Who are we to make sin acceptable?

No one can say for sure what is truly right and wrong because anything that helps you cope with this world is neccessary. I am not gay, but I have friends who are, and if you really judge not it shouldn't be an issue. All of these "Christians" condemn every aspect of human behavior imitated in the animal kingdom saying if you have Jesus in your life you wouldn't let yourself be gay, forgetting that there are alot more wicked "sins" they don't even confess. Live and let live, and chuck the bible somewhere if you use it to harbor prejudice of any kind.

Who Is to Blame, You or Your Genes?
If the genes are to blame, scientists hold out the possibility of changing them, eliminating undesirable traits through genetic engineering. The recent success in mapping the entire human genome has given such aspirations new impetus.
This scenario, however, is based on the premise that our genetic endowment is, indeed, the villain responsible for all our sins and errors. Have the scientific detectives found enough evidence to make a case against our genes?
Most people are familiar with, or at least have heard of, the account about the fall of the first human pair, Adam and Eve, in the garden of Eden. Were they made with some intrinsic defect in the genes right from the start, a sort of design flaw that predisposed them to sin and disobedience?
Their Creator, Jehovah God, whose works are all perfect, proclaimed that his crowning earthly creation was "very good." (Genesis 1:31; Deuteronomy 32:4)
Mankind's problems started when the first human pair sinned.
God's response to the sin of Adam and Eve is revealing. He did not try to correct some 'design flaw' in their genes. Rather, he carried out what he told them would be the consequences of their actions, which led to their eventual death. (Genesis 3:17-19) This early history sheds much light on the nature of human behavior.
While generations of Adam's offspring are not responsible for Adam's sin, they nonetheless are all born with sin, imperfection, and death as their inherited lot in life. The Bible explains: "That is why, just as through one man sin entered into the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they had all sinned."—Romans 5:12.
Man's imperfection puts him at a decided disadvantage. But that does not absolve him of all moral responsibility. The Bible shows that those who put faith in Jehovah's provision for life and conform their lives to God's standards will have his approval.

It would be easier to explain if we could separate the concept of love from sex. There is no prohibition, in the bible or anywhere else, against loving someone of your own gender. Love is love. But, Love is not sex. Being attracted sexually to someone is just that. There are so many ways we are sexually attracted. If you are sexually attracted to your own gender, what has that got to do with love? Some people are sexually attracted to urine. I'm sure they didn't choose it, either.
The concept of homosexuality is about sex. God prohibits illicit sex, not "just" homosexual sex. Illicit sex is sex for any other purpose than procreation, period. The bible also prohibits masturbation, premarital sex, and extra-marital sex. Why? Because Pleasure belongs to God, and although we are allowed to have pleasure, we tend to abuse it, like everything else. If we do not control it, we eventually come to see it as a higher priority than serving God. This is happening already. People are now thinking that pleasure is the highest priority in life. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy. Sex is the highest pleasure we can attain, and now sex is marketed like it's a "need", and an integral part of "love". This is nonsense. The bond of love that two people share is transcendent to any momentary sexual pleasure. If sex is necessary, then what is the meaning of "Love"?
Therefore, God limited us to having sex to produce a child for HIM, meaning that we use our bodies to allow a soul a chance for spiritual advancement in a human body. Of course, in order to do that, we have sex, and that is pleasurable. That isn't sinful, because that is what God allows.
In this way, we can understand that homosexuality is no different than any other sex that we have for our own pleasure. It is illicit sex. Those who specifically identify homosexuality as wrong do no have a complete understanding. Worse, they are picking and choosing which scripture to adhere to, in order to excuse themselves.
Society has "grown" beyond the confines of these scriptural injunctions. Hardly any married couple can say that they don't have sex for their own pleasure. People masturbate, and it is now accepted as healthy. Whether one is gay or not, it doesn't change God. If people want to think that their illicit sex is somehow less important than someone else's illicit sex, they should know that, regardless of their own opinion, God doesn't change His.

God is against a lot of things. Murder, theft, etc. Free will allows us to make our own choices. The idea that because something exists that God opposes is not a good argument to deny His existence.
Note: I don't KNOW whether or not homosexuality is a choice or not. I know acting on homosexual feelings is a choice. But that's not really what you are asking here anyway.

I definitely believe it is of choice. God has the ability to stop everybody from sinning from various types of sins like, pride, lying, hatredness, killing , adultery, fornication, watching pornography etc., If He does so there we will be llike puppets with no freedom of thinking and doing anything. God has given us the freedom, He wants us to do only things that are right. That is why God says in proverbs Gods word will keep you away from doing wrong. It will give you wisdom to differenciate from right and wrong. The devil will flee from us once we are strong with God . Bible is a treasure whoever want to gain widom will be wise. The wisdom that you learn in college is not wisdom at all to me.
