There are a lot of exercises that you already know about that will improve and develop your abs - however if you have any significant body fat you could have fantastic abdominal muscles and no one can see them!

Crunches are great, also the pilates core exercises that other posters have mentioned. If your gym has a Roman chair, or the apparatus that lets you hang by your armpits and bring your knees up to your chest, that works great too. But again, you need to get rid of any body fat around the middle so that you can see these new muscles and the only way to do that is with good diet and aerobic exercise. Good luck!

Hi Christopher,,some people don't realize,,that if your intestinal system isn't in great shape you won't be able to get a great looking abdomen no matter how many sit ups you do!
If you think you might have too much 'crap' in your intestines,,take an over the counter herbal colon cleansing regimine. People who eat meat are most suseptable to bloated intestinal syndrom. Take care of that,,and then do your scrunches or situps,,or whatever you like to do that will work the abs,,,I do situps,,,elbow to opposite knee.

THIS IS TORTUE honestly its the worst expiriance of exersize in my LIFE!!!! but its effective as hell

lie on your back put your hands right about your butt. so your not supported by your back and life your feet 6 inches above the ground..keep em there for 120 painful seconds...rest for a moment and do it agian

another thing would be to do 100 easy crunches every other day or my personal favorite...putting your feet agiansts a boxing bag so your in sit up position and do 30-50 sit ups getting close enough to your feet to punch the bag twice

OR

doing zero support push ups..putting your feet up on a chair and doing sit ups in the wheel barral position

I think building muscles requires time. Set your target and do all what you can to reach it. Remember that "easy come, easy go" so you need to do some effort. Check out this: http://www.albohealthcare.com/Download.htm
