Citizenship is the birthright of every person born in the United States. If we tamper with that, we risk having every American forced to "qualify" for citizenship. The think-tanks will have a heyday with that idea: there will be lists to things we must do in order to qualify for and keep our citizenship. There goes your constitutional republic, right down the drain.
