its not justs birds of prey. all kosher animals are herbivores, and no carnivores are kosher. its not a coincedence. many people believed that when you ate an animal a part of it would become part of yourself, and so only peaceful animals are kosher and fiercer and more bloodthirsty ones are not, to avoid taking those qualities into yourself.

It is the law of the beasts, what to eat & what not. And even common sense tells us to not eat meat eaters or scavengers or bottom fish, etc...
Today with new cooking methods, we can eat some scavengers or bottom fish, etc... It is never wise to eat a meat eater. Also, some of the meat they eat had been dead for a while & that would make it a scavenger at times.
Basically it is the unclean things we aren't suppose to eat that would make someone sick. Also, when cows eat meat products added to their grain, they get 'mad' cow disease. Because this goes against natural laws. And chickens get 'mad' chicken disease. Many diseases are caused by eating against natural laws.
Also consider a 4th generational curse (Exodus20), cannibalism. People eating people. People aren't tasty. They only do this because they are sick cannibals.

According to the Levitical dietary laws, these birds are considered "unclean."
Leviticus 11:13 ‘And these you shall regard as an abomination among the birds; they shall not be eaten, they are an abomination: the eagle, the vulture, the buzzard, 14 the kite, and the falcon after its kind; 15 every raven after its kind, 16 the ostrich, the short-eared owl, the sea gull, and the hawk after its kind; 17 the little owl, the fisher owl, and the screech owl; 18 the white owl, the jackdaw, and the carrion vulture; 19 the stork, the heron after its kind, the hoopoe, and the bat.

Because those birds eat other birds. It would be no more different if a dog ate a dog, would you want to eat something that lives like that, it is not healthy. God wanted his people to live long lives and he knew what he was talking about.

actually no human is allowed to eat birds of prey and many other animals.
1ti 4:3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
1ti 4:4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
1ti 4:5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer
It means what it says. Every creature of God---that is, creatures set apart by Scripture (or, as verse 5 puts it, "sanctified by the Word of God") is good for food. (The "creatures of God" that are good for food and of which we are to thankfully receive obviously do not include slugs, maggots, kittens, or pigs, among other things.) Where, in the Word of God, are such meats sanctified? You'll find them in Leviticus 11 and Deuteronomy 14.

Is it possible that you mean Birds of Pray, or Lady Vicars? I think I can say that this would be out of order for most societies, not only Jews.
