“At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven” -Matthew 22:30

This does not mean that a husband and wife will not longer know each other in heaven. This also does not mean that a husband and wife could not still have a close relationship in heaven. What it does seem to indicate, though, is that a husband and wife will no longer be married in heaven. There is likely no purpose for marriage in heaven since there is no procreation or loneliness.

I believe there will be. I would hate to go through this life with someone I love and not be with them in same way in heaven. That would defeat everything that was done on earth.

The scripture most are referring to is talking about the marriage ceremony AFTER the resurrection. Before that, during this life, marriage can be sealed for eternity. Matthew 16:19 says that whatever is bound on earth shall be bound in heaven. To me, that means that if I'm married by the proper authority, for time and all eternity, I can be with my spouse forever, along with my children and other members of my family.

The answer is no. At least, that\s the most common answer. I believe Mormons believe otherwise. But mainline Christian denominations say no, and site quotes from Jesus.

But you have to realize what this is all about. You will not be male or female in Heaven, therefore, we will not relate to one and other as we do on Earth You won't have kids, aunts, uncles, bosses, employees, friends, etc. All will be the same, and it will be an existence and a life that we cannot conceive of right now.

Marriage and family can be eternal, if sealed by the proper authority. The scripture people are referencing refers to after the resurrection. By that time, people are not married(verb), nor given in marriage, because marriage is to be performed in this life. Marriage and family relationships will be maintained.

I understand God is The God of relationships but Jesus did say in Luke 20:34 And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage:
20:35 But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:
20:36 Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.
God bless.

No. We will be like angels in heaven. Earthly marriage is a picture of the Marriage Feast of the Lamb. We will be so overcome with joy at seeing God face to face that sex will pale in comparison.

No, there will not be any marriage in heaven. God instituted marriage for one man and one woman, (Adam and Eve), and told them to cleave unto one another, and produce and fill the earth. And this applied to all men and women after them. There will be no reason to produce in heaven as all will be fulfilled. And you need not worry about the sexual part of marriage, because you will have no need or desire for it.

I believe there is a continued marriage because the Scriptures States: I know that everything God does will last forever. Nothing can be added to it. And nothing can be taken from it. Ecclesiastes 3:14
