I agree 100%. People underestimate the power of the brain to create vivid hallucinations. I heard of one schizophrenic man who actually saw decapitated heads floating around and these heads barked orders at him. Nobody thinks his experience is actually real, do they? No, they give him meds. I think religious experiences fall into the same category.

Up to a point, I agree that life is an illusion. We have the ability to create our reality and if we don't like what we have created we also have the ability to change it. If I decide to be depressed and worthless, I can be those things. If I decide to take responsibility for my life and actions, I can do that too. I can decide to believe all the rubbish written about God or I can decide to make up my own mind about it - think it through intelligently, with the brain I was given. Many of us are sleeping. It's almost time to wake up.

I suppose I'd have to agree that without our brain, our perceptions would be something other than they are- and everyone's perceptions are different. To carry this a step farther, since it's posted in R&S, isn't this the same as saying that anyone's god is 1) not real, since not physical and 2) not the same as anyone else's god?

No.
Given what we have learned through the study of Quantum Physics, your hypothesis is backwards.
Reality is created by what you place focus on in the physical realm. The act of placing focus is generated by the impetus of the brain. Thus the brain creates your personal reality through what physical thing it demands that you focus upon.
No focus = no physical reality. Thus physical reality is the illusion.

The physical realm is based on five senses,n these senses can be sensitized by artificial stimuli,so u cant say that what u senses is real, n there is nothing else than it,so i disagree wid u

I do, i'm empiricist. Plus, I took the red pill.
“Fact: Human beings are born into this world a blank slate, a tabula rasa. We gain knowledge of the world through our senses. And, if a particular sense is lacking, a person will not have a true knowledge of that particular aspect of the world. For example, if a person were born blind, he or she will not know color or the wonders of a beautiful sunset. So, for human beings, we gain knowledge of the world through observation, studying, and experimentation.” - chrismckayMBE

Change "an illusion created" to "your perception of reality as perceived" and I would agree. So - I guess I don't agree. lol

I believe we should subjugate our disciplinary accordance only within the realm of matter versus evolutionary comparatives, notwithstanding inferences of physical properties coerced by anti-adhesion. Thanks for asking such a thought provoking question. Hope I have helped.
