and saying, No Thank You, as the person cooking makes way too many leftovers, they just say Yes, I'll take it, thanks.

Then as soon as they go home, they throw it out in the woods!

Have you ever heard of anyone else doing this, or is it just my crazy family?

Well when and if we do this we throw i in our OWN trashcan anyways. Because we'll stick it in the fridge and then my mom will notice there's no room in the fridge and just pitch it if she doesn't think we need it! LOL! So you're not the only one with a crazy family!

I have a family member who packages up the leftovers and hands them to me on the way out the door. I can't argue or refuse because she's easily offended so I take them and put them in my fridge for one day. If no one eats them then they get thrown in the garbage.

It must just be your crazy family. My crazy family would take them home, put them in the refrigerator and THEN throw them out a week later - after all it is OK to throw out bad food. LOL

If saying no thank you doesn't work and an argument ensues then just taking and tossing is best to keep the peace

If it keeps the family peace, then go for it.
