The gentrified part of Fort Greene is centered on the brownstone blocks just south of Fort Greene Park. It's beautiful, safe, diverse, and completely unlike the projects located farther north near the Navy Yard or the sketchy coop/Pratt area to the east.

Ive heard its alright, but still can be a little "old school new york"....especially at nights


lets put it this way, my boss asked me to bring a car over there to get it washed, then he told me not to after considering it was in fort greene.

who knows really, i sure dont. just the few experiences in that part of brooklyn i have had were never positive, but i suggest taking others info on this question

Twenty years ago it was crime ridden. Like everything else in NYC, it has changed for the better as far as crime. There are lots and lots of project housing with eight to ten story apartment buildings.
