I was raised a fundamentalist. I won souls for Jesus, memorized books of the bible and translated the koine greek in bible college.

I became an atheist after a university education.

I have not been raised by atheist parents, but I know people who are Pastors and Evangelist who were raised atheists. Therefore it does not matter who raised you, because we all have a mind of our own. In the subject of BioPsychology, I learned that even genes can not keep you from having your own mind and making your own choices and adapting a different lifestyle other than what you were raised with.

Not exactly atheist, but I wasn't raised up in a church.

I've never been to a church service, for instance; when I was little, I briefly attended a Unitarian Sunday School -- just a few weeks, though.

My father was Methodist, studied for the ministry for a few years in his college days, but didn't ever finish that. However, he died when I was four. So I have little doubt that he was NOT an atheist.
On the other hand, my mother never strongly espoused christianity, but always made sure we went to church/Sunday school. When we were old enough, it was left to our option- and she did not continue to go herself. We children continued to go for awhile for social reasons, mainly, and eventually quit. I think that my mother basically considered it social training like some people do pre-school these days- and there was nothing like preschool where and when I was growing up. Her objections when I told her I was an atheist were not strongly made, so I think in her heart she may have been. She never explicitly told me so, however.

No not me, but my mother is now Agnostic (but she was not when she was raising me - she didn't become Agnostic until after I did). I was raised as a Messianic Jew. I'm now an Atheist.

Not me. My parents are both open-minded Catholics. I was taught to love and respect everyone and to find what was best for me.

My siblings and I are all atheists.
