When I was seven years of age I remember my freinds broke a thermometer. We all were amazed at the liquid's behavior inside of it so we all took turns playing with it.

It's ok. My father did the same thing when he was 9. He went in the science lab at his school, and he and his friend started playing with the mercury. He unbelievably didn't ever get sick. Don't worry about it though. If it would've hurt you at all, it would've hurt you a very long time ago. My father is now an adult and very healthy. It's a miracle you both didn't get hurt back then.

If it hasn't killed you by now, it probably won't. You should really be concerned if you either ate it, or had a long-term exposure to it. In the 18th and 19th centuries, women used to paint their faces with mercury to make them look paler. Many of them died of mercury poisoning, but only after they'd been doing it for years.

Yes, you are going to die. No one lives forever. Holding the mercury in your hand will not have any effect on your health or lifetime.

No, I'm sure that won't kill you. Just don't make a habit out of playing with it any further.
