ABSOLUTELY NOT--it robs the skin of all the natural oils. Generally things that damage your hair will also damage your skin. And alcohol is something you want to use only in low amounts on your hair, if you have to use it only. With your skin "toners" aren't a must. If you have dry skin already it makes it worse and if you have oily skin it will only make your sebaceous glands go into overtime. All you need to do is wash, exfoliate, and moisturize--for every skin type. Mix your favorite facial cleanser with salt or sugar until it forms into a paste--salt for oily skin and sugar for dry to normal. Rub it in circular motions across your face for a minute and rinse. Blot your face dry--do not rub. In one step you've washed and exfoliated your skin. Use a fingertip's worth of moisturizer on your skin--if you're oily then use something light with collagen in it. If you're dry then use a heavier moisturizer--like a cream. Never use a lotion because it doesn't absorb into the skin, just the surface. The same regime can be applied to your entire body.

You should never use rubbing alcohol on your face.It will dry you're skin and over the years it will make your skin age faster with lines and wrinkles forming sooner then they normally would.Always wash your face with a mild soap specifically a face soap like cediphil or a neutragina product.Trust me you'll thank me in twenty years when your face doesn't look like an old catchers mitt.

In general alcohol is bad for your skin because it drys it out. That is whoever the reason it is good for clearing up acne, by going in and drying out the oil in your pores.

Curious. How does alcohol dry the skin?

Rubbing alcohol dries your skin out. I think it's horrible, but if you have not noticed any bad side effects, then you should be fine.

No, it will dry out your skin. I suggest drinking a lot of alcoholic beverages and you will eventually forget about using alcohol on your face.

i don't think it's good to your skin, especially face area is really sensitive. Alcohol has the tendency to dry the skin especially isoprophyl kind. and it can harm your eyes too.

may i ask for what purpose you put alcohol on your face?

if for cleansing, water and soap is enough.

NO!!!! all it does is dry out your skin, and its so harsh that your body has to make up for the lack of oil by producing MORE oil, which is even worse. if you insist on drying out your skin, use a topical cream or a astringent.
