As normal decent human beings, I think we can all agree that we want to live in a good, decent non-violent loving world, that is what GOD had intended from the start, HOWEVER Satan was hurled out of a perfect heaven into earth and has been tempting man with evil doings since that time, and we as human beings have no way to stop it only JESUS can.
If Man could of destroyed evil, wouldn't he have done it by now???
We cannot destroy evil in Men's hearts, we cannot control the climate to make it better, we cannot control GOD's plan for humanity, we cannot stop what is destined to happen, we can make life better while were here but we are all destined to die no way to stop it, so why are so many people afraid that a christians WILL is for the world to end? when it's is evil we want to end, don't Atheists want Evil and Pain to end, so we can live in a loving perfect world, where there is no more death, pain and suffering?
I write alot about the End Times because we are in them...

During a Bible study, I'd like to paraphrase what one of my friends said. He said that we cannot change the minds of others and only God can put His hand on their hearts.

I do not agree with your premise.

First you assume that your god made the world. I do not agree.

Second there are a sect of Christians who are pushing the world towards a condition which meets their preconception of their 'end times' That doe not include a 'good, decent non-violent loving world'

As to your actual question. When you can actually show me something that your rebranded war-god has actually done to make the world better then maybe I will look to him for help.

Until then, I can only conclude that looking to him for help is a total waste of time and effort. People waiting for him to do something are making the problem worse.

Everyone needs to listen to the experts in this field. They are saying that there is a problem that needs to be fixed NOW. Instead of waiting for a non-existent sky fairy to do something people need to act for themselves because that is the only way it will get solved.

The predictions of the End Times have been fulfilled for the last 1950 years. It still has not happened. I doubt that humanity will die. Civilization might well though.

Well my main concern is that Christians think making things right includes separating believers from nonbelievers and then throwing non believers into a lake of fire to suffer forever. This doesn't sound like a happy ending to me at all. It sounds like a Nightmare on Elm Street plot line. Rather than wait for a deity to make things right, people should take it upon themselves to improve the world.

I believe we can fix this world without completely destroying it first, don't you? Let's at least TRY that option first, k?

And we really don't need God to do it.

I don't condemn you or christians for that. What I condemn is your expectation that everyone should turn to your god, and the need to put your beliefs into legislation.
