Here's mine, tweak as needed.

12 oz. pasta
1 pkg (8 oz.) sliced mushrooms
1 big spoonful minced jarred garlic
1/2+ cup butter
1/2 cup whipping cream (sometimes half and half)
1+ cups of a blend of Parm, asiago, and Romano
Pinch of kosher salt
Big pinch of fresh ground pepper (I make a 4 peppercorn blend)

Boil pasta, saute the mushrooms and garlic until they look to your liking. Add more butter. Add the cream. When all that's heated, add the cheese to your liking and the S&P. When it's at the consistency you want, toss with the pasta. Fresh chopped parsley is nice with it.

I'm making it tonight as a matter of fact.

add scallops...that are boiled. Or add butter and olive oil to the spaghetti while it's cooking.
