No, they have been around only since...oh...just after the Reformation. Regardless of what you might see on the Internet, the organizaion called the Rosicrucians were featured in pamphlets by Christian Rosenkratz and were alchemical allegories. That is to say, they were quasi-mystical babble that someone threw together.

Yes, they are supposed to be the guardians of some powerful mystical secret knowledge, but anyone claiming to be a Rosicrucian is simply seeking attention.
