A is the abbreviation of the word Answer. Had to abbreviate to fit Q into Q-box. Just in case you are wondering,
Q=Question and Q-box = Question box which has a 110 character limit. Oh, BTW the equal sign (=) can be understood as meaning "symbolizes", "refers to," or "is an abbreviation of" depending on how you like to think.

I forgot to add: "ur" is short for "your" or "you're" whichever of the two possibilities fits appropriately the likely intended usage

I do not mean Ur, the biblical city. see wikipedia entry if interested in that tangent.

I appreciate the ' teacup' explanation best
if your physical body is the teacup and your essence the tea
when the teacup fractures the tea spills out and becomes part of whatever it touches
Q if essence is energy and energy cannot be destroyed, will that energy maintain sentience as we understand it
A As conformity is the natural law of the universe not without becoming diluted in a collective over-mind
Only the most disciplined can break the veil to maintain individual sentience
2A I feel pretty good about my answer as I have survived physical death in my youth and made some significant life changing decisions as a result of the perspective I received

What is flesh is flesh, and what is spirit is spirit. No. I don't believe that your conscious ends when your body dies. the Bible teaches othewise. Our earthly body dies, but our souls go either to heaven or hell. Then, at the rapture of the church, the dead In Christ will rise first, then the living believers will meet them in the sky. Our bodies will be changed in the "twinkling of an eye." then we will have our glorified bodies, as Jesus does. But the soul never dies. The others who are dead, but not believers, will be raised up on judgement day to face the Lord for Judgement. Then, they will be sent to the Lake of Fire, which is the second death. Believers will not die the second death. But, the unbelievers will be in eternal torment, and the believers will live with the Lord in heaven.
I believe with all my heart that we go to heaven with the Lord, and our soul does not pass away. I live my life according to His word, so that I may be with Him forever.

I believe our life goes on after mortality ends. How could we expect a loving Heavenly Father to desert us and allow us to no longer exist? He wants what's best for us just like any other parent and that does not mean to terminate our conscious being when we die. I am completely confident in my answer. I know that if we live our life righteously we will be rewarded and have an INCREDIBLE eternal life.

I believe that the death of my body is like the destruction of a cage, or container which holds who I really am. It tethers me to earth. When that is destroyed or killed, I will be free again. I will know all, and I will have the free will to make decisions. Like do I want to get back into another body and go to school, (earth), again.
It's just the life cycle. Pretty cool actually.

Blessed Be

i believe it is a death as the body is returned to ash, but the soul moves on to where its supposed to go. I feel that whatever is supposed to happen next will happen for a reason. If you don't agree with what you believe in than you are not being true to yourself.
God Bless!!!

No. We are both flesh and spirit. When the "flesh" dies and returns to dirt, instantly the "spirit" returns to the Father from whence it came.
I feel GREAT about my answer because I am looking forward to the day/time that I can see my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ face to face.

First: Learn to speak in English. It will make you at least seem reasonably intelligent. How much time and effort are you really saving with the text-speak?

To answer your question. Yes. I see no reason to think otherwise.

Would I like to live forever? Definitely, who would not? I would also like to be a billionaire with the body of an Adonis. Wanting something to be true doe not make it true. I accept the reality that I can determine. That reality has no indication of life after death, so I accept that and try to make my life before death as best as I can.

I believe the Bible is the Word of God. It teaches death is a sleep. When I die, I will sleep until Jesus wakes me up to eternal life. The wicked will be awakened 1000 yrs. later to eternal death. See Eccles.9:5,6; Psalm 115:17; Psalm 146:4; Isaiah 38:18,19; Job 14:21; 1 Tim. 6:16; Revelation 20, 21. Also check out www.3abn.org.
