Abs are a tricky thing, i used to do an ab workout for about 15-20 min a day and they looked okay, now i do a cardio workout that works my whole body, i spend about 6 minutes targeting only abs and they look better than ever. short intense workouts are better than long repetitions when it comes to abs but working out your whole body is always better than picking one part....good luck!

what do you mean by how many abs should I do a day? anyway, if you mean abdominal exercises you should do as many ab crunches as possible. Try a challenging version by lifting your legs off the ground and while keeping them straight and stiff and about 5 inches off the ground do a crunch and hold it for a count of 3 seconds, exhale on the way down and inhale on the way up and make sure you keep you legs off the ground the entire time. Keeping your legs straight and stiff off the ground forces you to keep tension on your lower abs while the crunch focuses on your upper abs so try to sense the tension on your abs and keep squeezing to get the best results. You can do ab crunches all the time but also try to walk, run or bike 3 times a week for at least 20 minutes a day and stretch, stretch, stretch your abs and everything else on your body before and after your workouts and remeber the harder you work the sooner you will get some bad *** abs.....

30 minutes a day...
but don't do the typical ab crunch...
do a variety for different parts of your abs.
Good Luck!!
