I was thinking more along the line of a nice strappy sandal or heeled shoe. Nothing close to a flip flop.

Flip flops, even nice ones are a no. They make that oh-so-familiar clicking noise when you walk.
A nice strappy metallic sandal would be fine for a day wedding though.

What kind of sandals? Rubber flip-flops from Old Navy? No...some really nice leather strappy flats or something- Yes.

Yes it is, if the sandal is more dressy than flip-floppy, no problem! I recommend a wedge heel to dress it up a little!

Of course it is. Worry more about keeping your dress pretty and modest - if you are baring a lot of skin, wear a wrap or shawl of some sort.

As long as they are not flip flops or hooker looking sandals. But nice wedged sandals or sandals w/ a slight heel are fine.
