My female cat went missing for about 2 days, when she finally returned home we found her under the porch, not wanting to move too much, she has a small mark on the top of her head, a semi deep scratch on her neck, and a cut on her chest area, inch or so below her neck that had bled pretty bad. I cleaned it up as best i could, but the closer to the cut i got the more she fought to pull away. She had a slight limp wich has gotten better an seems to had lost a lil weight. Also her left eye seems to be acting up, not wanting to close all the way. I am very concerned but my mom and dad seem to think she just mated. Should i be concerned about her? She is improving daily and gaining weight back already, should i watch for signs pregnancy or do you think she just got beat up by a neighbors cat?

she is sleeping a lot more, home all the time, doesnt even want to go out side. She hasnt been eating more, just started eating hard food 2days ago. Seems like her mouth is hurt maybe. She is extra lovey wich is a sign of pregnancy isnt it? My 'rents said that the men are agressive when they mate, wich could explain all the marks? Is that true?

Just getting back on my feet, have gotten all of her shots and had the spay sched for next week. Give me a break i am TRYING MY BEST to do the right thing here.

'JUST got mated'?! If she isn't spayed, there's no 'just' about it, this could be serious!

Cat mating can be a pretty violent process, so it's hard to tell if she's been mated or been fighting - could be both. If she's spayed, male cats could still have jumped her - less likely in a spayed female, but it does happen.

I would take her to a vet. Standard procedure anyway for a cat that's been missing, especially when they come back with wounds - cat wounds are easily infected. If she's not spayed, it's very important to have this done.

To find out if she is pregnant you can either take her to the vet, or wait a couple of weeks. She might have mated and she might not have, I think she just got into a really bad fight and needs to be taken to the vet NOW!! As for the mating part like I said, just wait a few weeks and you'll find out if you have kittens or not.

TAKE HER TO THE VET, NOW!! Why was that not the obvious thing to do in the first place???

To be honest, your cat could die today if you don't. She's obviously been attacked, most likely by a dog. Cats DO NOT injure each other when they mate.
But apparently you really don't care that much, since it hasn't occurred to you to take her to a veterinarian.

If you cat lives through this, the kindest thing would be for you to surrender it to a rescue group, so they can give it to a home where it will be properly cared for.

I vote for a fight.

Mating is a painful experience for a female cat (the male is equipped with "barbs"......), but it wouldn't result in wounds like that.

Take her to the vet, and while you're there get her spayed.

Ok...let me get this straight. You let your UNSPAYED cat outside and she comes back HURT? There is a place called a vet that takes care of hurt animals...they also spay them so the cat does not continuously create litter after litter of more un-taken cared of animals.
