I wouldn't need to ask him any, he's already taught so much and pointed to where answers can be found. He's so busy I wouldn't want to use up his time for my piddle-ant questions anyway, so I'd simply refer to his teachings already present and available.

Sybil, that's easy, and if you know this just ignore it: non-self is simply another way of saying that, when you try to find an inherently existent "me", "self", or "I" you can't. We're all a heap of parts that we label as self, me and I. We're all interconnected in various ways with everything around us. Ask yourself, are you your cells? Your bones? Your mitochondria? Your molecules? Your emotions? No, you're none of these things... all of these things arise due to causes and conditions (which are generally interconnected with something else to arise), are changing and impermanent. So, "no self"... not really. Of course it is said that you do exist conventionally... but NOT inherently. Hope that helps.

Yogini: I'm quite sure he's answered this one in one of my books, and he always answers that one must act with compassion and altruism first. No argument or mud slinging that is based on the "ego" or self-cherishment. When you're acting with absolute altruism, you don't make as much of a mess karmically.

I have read much of the Dalai Lama's works and attended a lecture he gave. At this point I think all I would ask his holiness is, "How's it going?"

If he has vivid recollection of his past lives... I would be interested in hearing about them and the evolution of his soul. If I could ask him a second question, I would ask if it were possible for me to have vivid recollection of mine and if so, how.
