I would suppose that would depend on the marriage. Are we talking a mixed marriage here where a Purple Dinosaur and a nasty little shiksa hook up or will we be a homogenous marriage?
In the event of an approved Paleolithic Union, there are propr channels for that of course. But if you insist on a mixed marriage, just go to the Courthouse, get your civil Union and move to California and never speak to your mother again.
