Romeo and Juliet are found dead on the floor in a bedroom. When they were discovered, there were pieces of glass on the floor. The only furniture in the bedroom is a shelf and a bed. The house is in a remote location, away from everything except a nearby railway track. What caused the death of Romeo and Juliet?

Many people got this one already, but I'll repeat.

Romeo and Juliet were a couple of fish kept in a fish-bowl in the shelf. The shelf vibrated when the train passed. The vibration was so strong that it knocked the fish bowl clean out of the shelf, onto the floor. The fish bowl broke, and Romeo and Juliet died.

Romeo & Juliet are the pet fishes living in a glass bowl in the bedroom.
The glass bowl broke with the train passing and the water drained causing the fishes to die.

The wine glass on top of the shelf fell down and spilled poison on them, or a fish tank fell down because of the train vibrations and hit them both and killed them.

They were sitting on the tracks and were engrossed in a kiss, so they didn't noice the train that knocked them through the window and onto the floor.
