No, it is not an interference motor unless it is a diesel. The diesel is an interference motor.

FYI-Toyota recommends replacing this timing belt every 60 months/60,000 miles

The 1992 Camry is a NON-interference fit engine, so if your timing belt broke, simply re-align the cam and crank shaft and put on a new timing belt.

Toyota didn't go to interference fit engine on the 4 cylinder Camry until 2002

no its not an interference engine if the belt breaks on it just line all the marks back up and replace the belt on it,and that's about it ,but it wont hurt the engine any,good luck with i hope this helps.
