I got my belly button pierced about a month ago. I was pretty nervous because I thought it was going to hurt, but honestly, it didn't hurt as bad as I thought it would. If you've gotten your ears pierced before, it's not much different than that. It feels like a tight pinch or a really fast needle prick. The piercer will put a clamp on first, which may feel a little uncomfortable but shouldn't hurt, then he will pierce the skin with a needle, and push the bar through. I was surprised at how slowly it goes through, but it really isn't that bad. It's worth it!! It looks really good when it's done, you just have to make sure not to touch it at first, and clean it a couple of times a day with a salt water solution, (they'll probably have that available at the piercing place). Hope that helped!

I'm 15 and I just got my belly button pierced today. To be completely honest, it hurt, but it didn't hurt a lot. It just felt like a little pinch. People think that it will hurt like 100 times more than it actually does. I would just go for it. It's deffiently worth it. The piercer told me that I could swim in 3- 4 days and that I could change the ring in 3 weeks.
Good luck =)

It doesnt hurt TOO bad, but its not the best feeling. You have to clean it twice a day for a year, so be prepared to do so. If it gets rejected you will have two pieces of skin hanging from your belly button. You should check out www.bodycandy.com for their spray sea salt. It works really good in a pinch if you forget to wash it. And it keeps it from being infected.

I have mine done and to be completely honest...I never even felt them do it. my friend and I went together and she said she hardly felt it either. I do however have friends who have it done that said it hurt like heck. I guess it depends on you and the person doing it. I had a great experience with it. I do recommend that if they place gives a choice between puttign in a hoop or a barbell like thing then dont get the hoop because I got a keloid from it rubbing. as soon as I switched to the barbell it went away and healed nicely. some places however will only use a hoop so I guess it depends where you go. make sure to clean it properly and dont play with it as it will get infected easily.

It's a needle through your skin. Of course it hurts a bit. Your miledge may vary, but for the overwhelming majority of people, it doesn't hurt enough to make a big deal wbout it.
The most important thing, and the number one thing people screw up on, is that once it's pierced you should not touch it (unless cleaning it) or change the jewelry for AT LEAST 6 months. Navel piercings are tough to heal, and aggrivating them can cause your body to reject the piercing (and push it out through the skin).
Just clean it, try not to bump it around too much, and DON'T CHANGE THE JEWELRY, and you should be fine. A well-cared for piercing should be practically trouble free.
I got my navel piercing at your age too, and I wish someone had told me that. I still have mine 5 years later, but it did migrate a bit, and isn't quite as deep as they pierced it. But hey, my fault. I now take much better care of my piercings.

i have 3 belly button piercings
first done when i turned 13
Pinch the skin between your thumb and index finger
it'll feel like that, maybe a sting/pressure but its quick
the top one is more unpleasant then the bottom
But it really doesn't hurt

I got mine done when I was ur age too. I was very scared, and I thought that I was going to be in pain for ever! But then I went to get it done, and it was over like "that," It hurt but only for like 5 seconds. GOOD LUCK ♥♥ O, be sure to take extra extra good care of it.♥ Julie

For me, it hurt a lot to acually get it pierced and it was sore for a month or two after as well. Just make sure you take real good care of it while it is healing, you don't want it to get infected.

It stings for like a min when you get it done after it feels kinda like you have heat on it but its not that bad. Just make sure you clean it often or it will get infected and thats when you start having problems
