NO. Definitely not. I *never* use a shock collar for any behavioural problem. With pure aggression, it simply makes the problem worse. I have dealt with a lot of dogs through the dog club, and have dealt with numerous problems.....aggression, fear aggression, etc., etc. With all problems, you first of all have to work out *why* this problem is happening. With a rescue dog, sometimes you never find out. But with a dog that has been in the same home since a pup, the answers are usually obvious. If you have an aggressive pup which you have had since a pup, then you have to sit down and ask yourself *why* and go from there. Find yourself a positive trainer, *not* someone who is willing to say "Yes" to a shock-collar......someone who agrees to that is going to ruin your dog, and is not attempting to understand the dog, or work through the problem.

no way! a shock collar will not make a dog aggressive. it may just seem aggressive because it's not used to humans quite yet. if it's a young puppy, then that's the answer. i suggest spending more time with your puppy-to make it get used to humans more. thanx.

NO.
Puppies play bite and chew and get into all sorts of mischief. It doesn't mean they are aggressive. You can train your dog to have better manners without a shock collar or other physical violence. Take him to a puppy class!!!

A shock collar is an easy way out with this one. Training is the best way to go. A lot of humane societies will offer training classes or try your local pet stores and enroll.
Personally I think they are just cruel devices. If you train them to stop the behavior that is innappropriate you wont have to use one.

Are you unable to deal with things on your own, even though you have the complete responsibility for the life of your pooch?
Looking for the easy way out when it comes to problems?
Hoping to physically and emotionally hurt your animal?!
The SHOCK COLLAR is for you!
Yep, thats right! Throw it on your animal and zap away whenever he's bad. It won't change a damn thing about behavior, and might even make him especially aggressive towards YOU!
But hey. Intentionally hurt your puppy! We don't see you wearing that thing around your neck.
SHOCK COLLARS!

ok what kind of aggression first off? And you can stop the aggression through ignoring the bad behavior. try obediance training the puppy. i really disagree with this. They are like kids all puppys bite, jump chew work with the puppy teach it to sit and stay. this helps when they start to bite your hands grab the scruff of his neck and tell him no bite in a firm voice this is what the puppy's mommy did. try positive inforcement.

Not sure what you mean by "puppy aggression"
Some suggestions, though:
1. Don't play tug-of-war, which fosters growling and possessive biting
2. Try a squirt bottle - water in the face will be as effective as shocking the neck
3. When he does something you don't want, hold him still and talk sternly ("Bad dog" "What did you DO?") Show him your displeasure; they're not stupid creatures; they want to receive your positive attentions, not you negative ones.

No, it is not. A shock collar will make aggression much, much worse.
Please seek the help of a positive trainer who will use reward-based training to help you.

No shock collars are just cruel to dogs and it would probably only make your dog hat you and act worse. You should try hiring a trainer or going to an obedience class. You should check on your dogs health (it could be that your dogs just sick!)
