My wife's ex husband refuses to pay child support. He owes $5000 in back child support and refuses to look for work. He sleeps late and plays video games most parts of the day. I am the one who is working and taking care of the children. We have to send food to his house to make sure the kids eat when they are at his house. Doesn't it say in the BIble that if you want to eat, you have to work?

if you feel so strongly about it, why don't you take the issue to a judge and adopt those kids, then you don't have to worry about what their biological father does or does not do.

"For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat. For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies. Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread." 2 Thessalonians 3:10-12

you are not the children of God, you are the servents of God. and if you were the children of God then why would he punish you for your sins?

[18] And (both) the Jews and the Christians say: "We are the children of Allâh and His loved ones." Say: "Why then does He punish you for your sins?" Nay, you are but human beings, of those He has created, He forgives whom He wills and He punishes whom He wills. And to Allâh belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them; and to Him is the return (of all).
Quran 5:18
