Between only those two, Central Park. But, I think Fort Tryon Park is the most scenic and the most interesting. They have a Medieval Festival, the Hudson River, the Cloisters - it's a gorgeous park

Battery Park is the perfect example for how much Manhattan has changed in the last 30 years. In the 70s it was oh so common to see heroin addicts nodding out on the park bench in Battery Park. There were junkies everywhere in the park. Today, it's clean and often a stop for those taken the ferry to the Statue of Liberty or Ellis Island. Yet, I prefer Central Park. The zoo there is top notch. And the Shakespeare in the park performances are always well done. Then you have the Great Lawn and the row boat ride on the lake overlooking the Dakota Bldg and other famous sites.

Between Battery and Central, Central Park is bigger and better. I'm sort of partial to Bryant Park, though, even though it's tiny.

they are all good in their own ways, but Central Park is the flagship park of New York. How can anything else compare, it takes up so much land and has so much to offer.
Central Park baby (except after nightfall)

Between those two I like the Battery better. My favorite park in the city is either Van Cortlandt or Pelham Bay both in the Bronx.

Prospect Park is safer, but I'm assuming you meant 'Manhattan' when you said NYC. I'm gonna have to with Central
