There is no one correct answer to this. You've heard of the expression "opposites attract". Maybe this is only true for magnets. It all depends on personal preference; either way has its ups and downs. People are attracted to each other's pharmones, personalities, etc.

Neither. You dont want to date someone that you have too much in common with because you may become bored with them. Then again you dont want to date somoen that is totally opposite of you and be weirded out half the time by each other. Find someone that shares some interests as you and some different but you feel like you can become interested in and build from there.

Well if you date someone like you then your partner and you won't have a problem in having things in common. If you get some that is the opposite then yeah you might learn a few things but, most of the times opposite couples lead to brake ups.

I certainly wouldn't want to date someone exactly like me. But I wouldn't want an exact opposite either. I would like some things in common as well as things I'm not into. I'm looking for someone who would compliment me. I don't do well with the extremes. I either lose myself in that type of relationship, or we just constantly butt heads. In a complimentary relationship, there's room for growth on both sides while remaining individuals. Sure we'd butt heads, but not nearly as often or as hard.

Yes! It's best to go out with all kinds of guys! How else are you gong to figure out what you are really looking for? As you meet new guys and go out with them, think about what qualities they have that you like and want to keep around you. Don't just hang on to a guy because he has a quality or two that you like, then you end up putting up with lots of qualities you don't!! That way when you meet the man that has the most qualities that you are looking for, you will know he is the right one! Best wishes!

You don't want someone like you but, also not someone completely opposite. You want someone that has same interests but, also fills your gaps as a person. Somebody that you can learn from and be shown new things, that is how you progress and grow as a person.

I think relationships tend to lean toward the "opposites attract" theory, but you still need to have some things in common as a basis for any relationship.

When you have just met someone, then it is the differences between the two of you that you will generally find refreshing and appealing. However, as time goes by, then those very differences will begin to be annoying and upsetting.
For the overall continuity of the relationship, then it is best to have as many similarities as possible.

The whole "opposites attract" theory is cute in the beginning but I think you'll want to have common interests.

I think opposite... that way you both can learn a lot from eachother.. and grow.
If you both are exactly the same... then you'll get bored... and thigns will fall apart.
the other way, you'll be kept awake lol
BUT you want to have some common interests... but not all have to be the exact same.
