Where can I hide from your spirit?
From your presence, where can I flee?
If I ascend to the heavens, you are there;
if I lie down in Sheol, you are there too.
If I fly with the wings of dawn
and alight beyond the sea,
Even there your hand will guide me,
your right hand hold me fast.
(Psalm 139:7-10)

Most Monotheists including Jews, Christians, and Muslims believe that God is omnipresent (everywhere).

God can be found:
+ In every human being who was made in His image
+ In every believer as part of the Body of Christ
+ In my heart, mind, and soul
+ In His creation, the universe, nature, animals, plants, and the back yard
+ In His revealed Word, the Holy Scriptures
+ In the Sacraments of the Church
+ Anywhere and everywhere

With love in Christ.

God transcends space as well as He transcends time. He existed before He created space and time, then He created space and time and now He is as He ever was. Since space and time are among God's creations, be sure that The Creator does not dwell within His creation. Therefore God exists without a place; He is needless of place whereas all places need Him. Glory be to Him alone and nothing beside His Absolute and Ultimate Divine Attributes.

Some other religions teach that "God is everywhere." This is actually called "pantheism" and it is the opposite of our believe system in Islam. Allah tells us clearly that there is nothing, anywhere in the universe that resembles Him, nor is He ever in His creation. He tells us in the Quran that He created the universe in six "yawm" (periods of time) and then He "astawah 'ala al Arsh" (rose up, above His Throne). He is there (above His Throne) and will remain there until the End Times.

even if you turn east or west, the face of allah is there.

[115] And to Allâh belong the east and the west, so wherever you turn (yourselves or your faces) there is the Face of Allâh (and He is High above, over His Throne). Surely! Allâh is All-Sufficient for His creatures' needs, All-Knowing.
Quran 2:115

and to the person above me he says God created this life for a toy, God created this life and he means Business! he is not joking about it:

[16] We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is between them for a (mere) play.
Quran 21:16

He created us and then left. Our universe is a toy that god created, played with for a while, got bored, and then got lost under the bed of reality.
