I didn't date in high school and only dated two guys (both for a month or less) in college. I have dated a few people since then, but not for any significant amount of time, unfortunately. I guess I'm still waiting to bloom. But one of my best friends never dated anyone in high school or college and she is now engaged. She met him when she was about 26. Another of my best friends didn't date in high school, but did have one boyfriend in college, and is now married to someone she met in law school when she was 22 or 23. I will say, in my own experience, that guys have been scared off sometimes when I've told them that I never had a serious relationship before--mainly because they tended to be commitmentphobes who thought I was saying that because I wanted to get married the next day or something. My advice? Keep your relationship experience--or lack thereof--to yourself until you know the guy a lot better.

I didn't date in high school. I waited until I was out of there, and now that I am, I've actually found someone wonderful and amazing who I've been dating for 4 months.
Answering your questions: I was 18 when I found her (graduated at 17), I'm happy with her... never been so happy in my life. I love everything about her.
Never having a relationship is a reason people don't date, but also, they should at least try to get in one or two. If the person they're interested in likes them back, this shouldn't be any problem.

Absolutely. I'd consider myself in that category.
I had an important relationship I was unequipped to handle when I was younger, and paid the price dearly. At the same time, being without this person taught me a lot about how the world works. I may be older than your average bear, but I really wasnt ready until my early thirties.
What is most important is the individual. If you're thinking about giving a late bloomer a chance, there is a good chance you get a smarter, wiser, understanding person. If you're already considering giving this person a chance, than this person has likely touched a nerve in a good way. Roll with it. (from the late bloomers perspective of course)

There is no reason to worry about starting to date too early in life. HS is considered early in life. You dont have to date anyone in HS to learn about how relationships go. If you look around or look at your friend's relationships you can learn all that you need to know so that whenever you do start dating you know what you are doing. Late bloomers are out there. They aren't rare. I know a handful of people just in my work place that didn't start dating til college. Dont be in too big of a rush. I bad early relationship expeirence can hurt you for a couple of years. So save your time and emotions.

My mother for one. Due to a heart condition she was sick throughout high school until she finally got surgery when she was 18. She had to repeat a couple years of high school. Then she went on to nursing school, still never having been on a date. She was in her mid to late 20s when she finally started dating. She was in her early 30s when she met my dad. They got married in 1972 and have been together ever since.

I had one girlfriend in high school, for a month. I now am going to be a junior in college with no other dating experience. You are not alone. They say we'll find someone eventually. Send me an email if you'd like.

Lots of people don't date in high school. I think it's better not to, so you don't get a false view of what a relationship should be. When they're in high school they aren't that real or mature. Don't be embarassed that you don't date because it's perfectly fine, and rare these days, so you should be proud of it.

I never dated in high school. There was only one girl who was really interested in my dating past and I admittingly lied to her, telling her I had had 2 girlfriends prior to her. Some girls won't really care about your past as much and can fall in love with you just as easily.
