I have a hard time believing that "God," the almighty Creator and Sustainer of heaven and earth and all that they contain, would be obsessed with the details of everybody's sex life. Being gay is considered a "sin" by people who fancy themselves to be "religious" - NOT by God.
If two people love each other, I have to believe that's sacred to God in itself.

Many people have a deep devotion and belief in God. If you noticed more than one or two gay people that have this devotion, that is a good thing!
A gay lifestyle is a sin, so the Bible tells us. But so are the very many things that I do in my life also sins.I just sin differently.
Would you hate me if I told you that I lied about the appearance of my wife's shoes, or if I told you that i swear at every driver that stalls in the left lane when I am in a hurry?
Would you hate me if I told you that I still have fantasies about Dolly Parton even though I am married for 26 years? Would you hate me if I told you that while I am at church, I wish that the sermon was shorter so that I could go and get something to eat?
So, I have a long list of sins...even more than I shared here. But I don't want you to hate me. Please forgive me and I will forgive you...if you ever sin.
Matthew 6
12Forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one

You know, honestly I have thought the same thing. There are so many passages in the Bible that talk about homosexuality being sinful...why would a gay person want to be a Christian? It just doesn't make sense. I am not saying wanting to follow Christ's teachings is bad...I am saying it just doesn't make any sense to follow some teachings and then ignore others. I just am not sure how a person would reconcile this. The Bible is so clear on homosexuality there is really no question what the Bible says about it. I would think that the gay person would struggle with guilt feelings or mixed feelings about his/her relationship with God and his/her sexual relationship. Although I must clarify that it goes the same with heterosexual relationships outside of marriage. The Bible is clear about that too. Anyhow...just my opinon.

Somebody said God hates gays and says they're sinners. Well, that's just stupid nonsense!
Leviticus (so I've heard) says "man shall not lie with mankind." Did anyone EVER think to interpret that to mean that males (like priests, ministers, bible school counsellors, etc.) are forbidden to MOLEST other males, especially if they are just boys? THAT is a way bigger sin (if I believed in sin) than two consenting male adults meeting in the privacy of their own homes. It's nobody else's damn business.
Many gays I know are very spiritual. Being gay is considered a sin by many bloody idiot finger-pointers and stone-throwers.

They're just human beings! Most religions teach that you shouldn't judge others, only God has that right.
I'm sure there are many people that believe in God and are religious that still sin!

I assume you presently live in USA. USA tends presently to have a 'majority rules' mentality; whereas God has a 'purity rules' mentality. So many 'Christians' may think any sexual act between members of the 'same sex' leads to 'Hell'. However, not all 'sex acts' between people of the same sex' do; see 2 Samuel 1:26 regarding David and Jonathan. Also 1 Samuel 16:7.
It is 'God's call, not ours' presently.

That's a good one, if they were so devoted to God, they would want to please Him. God says that is a sin and He destroyed two cities because of it. If a person is devoted to God, would he want to do something that obviously upsets God very much?

It is not being considered as a sin it is a sin. God said so in the Bible. Because so many people are afraid of the truth and will rather life a lie they will not speak out against this detestable sin. God said in the Bible he detest it. God Bless and no they are not true believers in God and in Jesus Christ His son otherwise they will repent there sins to God and stop sinning. Blessings.

You dont have to agree with every interpretation of the Bible to believe the whole. The intolerance of a few shouldnt stop them from finding comfort in the belief in God.

I've found that very odd myself, I went to a "gay" college, as my peers put it (we had around 20% of the kids there were gay) and many were very Christian. It was not what I expected.
