I keep hearing senators talk about how its not amnesty because people here illegally have to wait till the triggers are in place before they can get citizenship. However, after 24 hours of the bill being signed everyone who is in the US illegally gets to stay here forever.

If they learned the lessons the the last "one time amnesty", then why do they give amnesty first again? Why not build the wall, get enough agents to secure the border, get the interior enforcement and control of the backlogs and visa system in place first? Why not abolish the anchor baby policy and get a way to match Americans to unfilled jobs, so we can implement and determine if we need to implement a temorary worker program?

I also don't understand why an amnendment to bar sex offenders and violent felons from staying here failed. What exactly are the senators thinking?

It's obvious that our senators are NOT represting US. They instead have a personal or political agenda and expect us citizens to be good little sheep and just take it.

I will urge everyone I know to vote out every senator who voted in favor of this amnesty!!!!!

This is all window dressing to try and fool the American tax payer that not only has to foot the bill for the illegals to get the keys to the welfare kingdom, to the tune of 2.3 trillion over the next 20 years, but also will bring in over 1 million family members over the next 25 years. The illegals have hit the mother load, and our politicians keep telling us that it's the best compromise they can work out so we will be safe, so tell me again, what did the illegals have to give up, surely not their criminals. Amnesty, or black male, take your pick

I know this subject and what is behind it so very very well and I am scared to death. You can read some of my blogs on this. I have put letters to the Editors but mosts newspapers refuse to print because they are horribly to the LEFT. The Bill that is there IS IS IS IS an Amnesty Bill. I used to be a supporter of Pres. Bush but NOW I ask why is he and many others determined to destroy the United States.

I, personally, want to do something to stop it but I feel so very helpless

I don't know. I think they have some kind of hidden agenda. They don't fool anyone anymore. Everything they do has some reason behind it besides doing it out of kindness.

You've made an excellent point about the amendment failing for sex offenders and violent felons. They have made it hard for sex offenders to live anywhere these days (which is good). Also, Legal American have a hard time finding jobs when they are convicted of a felony. I don't know what their thinking to fail this type of amendment.

You are correct.
You will also NEVER get you politicians to answer the question because the HONEST answer is they don't care about ANYTHING other than establishing a NORTH AMERICAN UNION where they (and their friends) are the ELITES and the middle class is ELIMINATED.
You will be their "slaves" and subject to their every whim.
You will have freedom of speech but no one will be able to hear you!
Have you tried to write a letter to the editor of your newspaper lately? They won't print it! They link it to a web site no one reads!
You can write you congressman, but he won't read it. Some shill of an underling will shoot a form letter to you to try to placate your emotions.
Mark my words and pay attention. You may find out too late they are FACT!

It is a temporary status, not amnesty. You have start this early because it will be a nightmare after the triggers are met. Also, you have to know who was here longer then 6 months and who wasnt.

It is all politics. We as the United States have let this immigration problem progress into what it is now. We try to put in place different laws to regain control but we cannnot, due to other special interest groups in the U.S. that carry alot of clout. So it is hell if we do and hell if we don't.
