Shrimp takes no time to cook. If you can buy it fresh or uncooked for stir fry,k that is best. Use a scraming hot pan/wok, too.
Seasoning shrimp depnds upon how I'm cookgin them. For a stir-fry, I'd do a little soy sauce, some pepper, maybe some lemon or lime jucie. For oven-roasted, it's salt, pepper, EVOO, butter, and garlic.

Shrimp are an easy food! Sometimes, you dont even have to season them (thats how i like 'em). BUT... for stir fry... i say buy a small to medium shrimp (fresh or thawed works good, fresh always taste better, but not cooked). When making your stir fry... cook your hard vegitables first (broccoli, carrots, etc.) and about half-way through cooking those, throw in your shrimp. Put the lid on it and let em Steam. Depending on what your recipe calls for sauces and such, that will season your shrimp.
What my cousin does, is she cleans the shrimp first. Boils them seperately. Tosses them in Old Bay (i hate the stuff... any of the Mrs. Dash will do). Than adds them in when the vegitables are done. Either way... taste great!

There is a seasoning called "Old Bay" that is made for seafood that is excellent. Lemon is another that is used. The way I like it is sauteed in butter with a touch of lemon and salt.Shrimp has a built in indicator as to when it is done - it turns pink. Be careful when cooking with shrimp as it is easy to over cook and when that is done the shrimp gets rubbery. Save the pre-cooked for salads and shrimp cocktails. Use the raw for stir fry.

I either like to use seafood seasoning or salt pepper and olive oil. It is very yummy using the seafood seasoning. You usually just de-vain the shrimp and then fry them up.
