No. Having Limewire is not illegal, but what you download may be.

It's not illegal to have the program but what you do with it that usually makes it illegal.

People who use limewire aren't using it to download home videos or homemade music. They're using it to download illegal stuff.

If you're smart, you stay away from it because like all P2P programs, it's full of viruses and other malicious stuff. You don't know what someone could put into a file. Just because you think it's a safe file and open it, you open up Pandora's box.

strictly speaking No: limewire *one word* is not illegal.however since it has been known as a service where one can get free music/ect and breaking copyright law there are numerous trackers patrolling it.if you intend to download legal files then you are fine,just have antivirus just incase and if you are looking for something more powerfull try shareaza

limewire itself is not illegal, but the content that you might download may be, if you download copyrighted material then you are commiting a felony
just remember nothings illegal unless you get caught, just make sure your antivirus software is up to date cause there is some nasty **** out there

Limewire is not illegal, but be care full what you download, it could contain viruses, spyware, or malware, but I had no trouble with it

no its not Illegal but if u use it to download Music or Movies it is but other than that do what u do i know people that have downloaded music and i mean ALOT OF Music and nothing happened so just do what u believe u should do
