No the kingdom of God is a real government, else why do we pray for it to come in the Lords prayer. Look up Isaiah 9:7 and Daniel 2:44 to see promised Kingdom.

The gnostic Coptic Gospel of Thomas has a deep, mystical, and typically gnostic thought:
*alla t.mntero
c.m.petn.houn
auw c.m.petn.bal* -- Saying 3
English translation: "But the Kingdom is within you and outside of you."
The canonical Scriptures say that God's Kingdom, as a heavenly government, is external, outside of us. It is more than just a feeling or emotion within.
Nevertheless, the principles of the Kingdom should reside within us: love, justice, mercy, and good deeds.
Jesus spoke of "sons of the Kingdom," and he meant those who live their lives right now for the sake of that Kingdom to come.

Jesus will establish the kingdom of God here on Earth. He will sit on the throne of David and rule as the King of kings, Lord of lords. Since the kingdom is actually God's new government on Earth, it is not inside of us.

When Jesus said that "The Kingdom is in your Midst" ; Jesus could not of Possibly Been saying that the Kingdom was INSIDE A PERSON; Because Jesus was talking to the PHARISEES At that time.
Since the Kingdom couldn't have possibly been in the Midst of the Wicked Pharisees Obviously Jesus was talking about something else ! ! !
Since Jesus was going to be the Future King of God's Promised Kingdom; then when Jesus said that "The Kingdom is in Your Midst" ; Jesus was referring to the fact that since Jesus was the Future Main Representative of God's Kingdom then In THAT SENSE God's Kingdom was in their Midst ! ! !
In other words; Since JESUS was the MAIN REPRESENTATIVE Of God's Kingdom; then his VERY PRESENCE was proof to the people of Jesus day that God's Kingdom had OVERTAKEN THEM !
God's Kingdom was NOW IN THERE MIDST as Represented by Jesus ! !

God's Kingdom is in Heaven, but the body is the temple of the Holy Ghost where the Spirit of God takes up residency.
