You and I don't normally see eye to eye on many things but on this one, I had to give you a star for. I had a Chinese girl that worked for me cleaning my business once a week and she was great. I never had a problem with her. She never stole she even refused to take the money dropped on the floor even though I said she could have it. 3 years she worked for me and then she got her masters degree and moved away. No one sense then has done half the job she did. God I miss her!!!

Because we know that nothing can be gained through belligerence. Look at all the "races", for lack of a better expression, that use (a perceived) oppression as and excuse to use a masochistic aggression to cause division and hate... the results only end in further segregation. While those who work hard and try to become successful within the confines of a biased system still can make a descent comfortable living. I don't know about morals being what holds us back. From my personal experience, I've taken martial arts since I was 14 and I'm 50 now. I still practice and can pretty much take care of myself in most situations. But, we are taught in any confrontation or disagreement fighting is the last resort not the first. That was what I was taught and what I believe.

I think there are hardworking people in every culture--just like there are lazy people within each. I agree, I have met many hardworking Asians who thrive on advancing...most of them end up doing it through education.
Back in elementary school I can recall this Korean girl who had to sit in our class without knowing English. She learned through observation and new friends. Today she has made it, she has just opened up her own law practice after working two jobs to put herself through school. At the same time, I have worked two jobs to get through school.
I think every culture has their own hardworking. For example, the Hispanics say they are hardworking...they are correct. They say they do not like to be stereotyped or generalized when being referred to. However, they do this to themselves every time they call themselves hard working. We, as whites, are sterotyped everytime we are called lazy and don't want the jobs. It has nothing to do with not wanting jobs or being lazy. I think it is like a double standard. The truth is there are hard working people everywhere.

i agree, i have been to U.S. for almost 2 years now. My family spend over 10,000 dollars for the legal immigration process. Now, im glad to be here with my family, but compare with other students in my school, i have to spend much more time for my study, and get involve in school's activites.
I really think that Asian Americans work really hard~

i have a friend who owns an Asian restaurant, very good food by the way. she is a hard working woman and expects her workers to work just as hard. she hires nothing but legal Asians to do the cooking in here restaurant. Asians are good people until they are pisssed off.

Most people only complain about things they have a problem with, and there is no problem with immigration. Just illegal immigration. The asians for the most part do it the way it is supposed to be done and then work hard to succeed when they enter legally. You don't hear about them because they are not a problem!

You never hear it because Asian immigrants are here legally for the most part. Mexican illegals need an excuse, a rationalization to be here breaking our laws so they blame us saying we are lazy and they are soooooooooo hard working and that other bs. I agree we are lucky to have so many new citizens from Asia.

I believe that you go around protesting against illegals, when in reality you are really against the Mexicans. Just because you believe the Asians work the hardest doesn't make them all legal. They too enter the US illegally. Like everybody else mostly all immigrants, regardless of their nationality come to the US to prosper.

The U.S. doesn't share a border with any Asian country.Plus you never see huge numbers of Asian-Americans marching in the streets like the Mexicans do.
