I agree with it.
It is only by questioning things that we truly learn about them. If we swallow things whole, we often don't think about them.
It is often said that the best way to know whether or not you have gained true knowledge on a subject is to teach it to someone else, and be able to answer their questions.

I disagree.

Man became civilized when he believed he could trust his neighbors and they became a community.

Religion was (and is) one of the factors that strengthens this bond of trust. As Jesus taught, "Love your neighbors as you love yourselves."

Doubting your fellow human beings is what brings on uncivilized behavior.
