Mom's father was a pastor, so I heard this stuff since I was born. I certainly do not "know" it and you do not either. You merely "believe" it, and believing means nothing at all. Quote Kings about a round basin 10 cubits wide and 30 cubits around (indicating pi is 3.00); the sky rolling up like a scroll in Revelation (indicating it is a solid dome a few miles above us); etc. There are many contradictions and scientific errors in the Bible, so the verses you quote are meaningless to me. I do not need salvation from some sins con men invented to make us feel guilty and pay them to relieve the guilt. That is like a conman poisoning something and then selling antidotes.

No I don't think that at all. Why? I have a brain!
Any religion that claims to be the only way to God is a lie. You are free to live your life in fear of some imaginary place invented by men who desired to control you through that fear.
I will continue to use common sense and love a God that created us. I love a God that could never flood the whole earth because we misbehaved.
There are many roads to God and He does not care which road you take. He does not care if you take no road.
God is intelligent, right! Who would he want to spend eternity with, ignorant sheeple who can't think for themselves, or people who think and seek knowledge from everywhere not just some idiotic fictional book.?

scuse me? pardon me? you first statement I can find some agreement in, in that there is indeed reason behind my existence, and that there is, for want of a better word, a god.
it is not possible for man to be separated from God, we each and everyone of us carry a piece of the divine inside us, every living thing does.
if man is sinful as you say, then so is God who made us. but that isn't really accurate, a good simile that comes to mind....is the pot sinful? or the potter that made it?
Jesus was an excellent teacher, he made people think, but over the centuries his teaching has been twisted by man so badly that he would not recognize it today.
we "must" each individually hold to and maintain our own personal relationship with that which we believe. it's called INTEGRITY.
you cannot give someone what they already have, all are creations, or if you prefer, children, of that which created us.
silly man, you base all your statements on a book that was written and altered again and again by man......and you yourself say man is a sinful creature.......who's the fool?

very nice correct theology. its a shame you are sharing such life changing truth in a way that is irrelevant to people. If you wanna share the gospel with people quoting bible verses aint gonna do it. Get to know some drug addicts, divorcees or children who are in abusive families. Listen to their stories and work out what you can possible tell them thats gonna make a difference to their lives. The gospel should be good news for broken, unchurched people but the way you share it makes it sound like an english exam.
Sorry i should word this less critically. i am frustrated.

If "all have sinned" did Jesus? Or isn't he part of "all." If he isn't part of "all" then is he imaginary?
God loves us all, right? Then why is that critical to your argument? Isn't it more important if we love him? "If ye love me, keep my commandments." So, if you don't keep his commandments, you don't love him. And yet, "all have sinned." Oops, that means you don't keep his commandments, which means you don't love him. That's quite a conundrum, there.
So, from this, I can clearly see that you don't love God. How sad!
How can you "receive" Jesus if you reject his teachings? "Be ye therefore Perfect." Oops, you don't do that do you. You have therefore rejected him. I think you should accept him.
I'm sorry for your rejection of God. I'm sorry that you won't do what he says.
I wish you well, but clearly, you have fallen short (and flat on your face.)
I reject your argument in its entirety. I believe that if you don't obey God, and His Son, Jesus and become both "perfect" and "sinless" that you mock him.
Accepting Jesus would make you his follower. You would be perfect if you had a true, close relationship with him.
God does not like to be mocked.

fake. First, there isn't any such element as "Mormon Church". The call of Jesus Christ's church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. 2d, many those that declare to be stored are actually not because of the fact they don't be attentive to what it rather skill to be stored. Being stored skill you have faith in Jesus Christ; in spite of the shown fact that, it additionally consists of being baptized. in case you're actually not baptized you could not say you're stored. Mark sixteen:sixteen He that believeth and is baptized would be stored; yet he that believeth not would be damned. "AND is baptized". Baptism is a call for for being stored. Jesus suggested in John 3:5 that different than ye be born of water and then of the spirit you could not enter the dominion of God.

And how should I initiate this relationship? Do you have an address, phone # or email for Mr. Christ? The bible has a lot of good stories and poetic language, but no real contact info.

No, I do not know that. I believe in the One God, yes, but not in the divinity of Jesus. My salvation (if I need it) is assured through my relationship with Judaism. I appreciate your concern for my soul, but it's unwarranted.

I have never accepted jesus as anything except a charlatan and a worthless story. As another poster said, sin is sweeter and I will take that over jesus any day! Keep your jesus to yourself! (I could probably say alot more of what you may do with your jesus, but I don't think it would pass with the moderators)

You should know when you come on here and say things like this, that no one will listen to you aside from religious nuts like yourself. Yahoo answers is not the place to prostlytize, because atheists will just skim what you have written (it's much too long) and then write abuse...
