It's turned me from a largely apatheitic atheist, naively assuming most people understood that it's a myth, to a more outspoken atheist now that I see that isn't the case. Still a lot of ignorance out there.

Changed- no, expanded- maybe. I am always open to new ideas and am fascinated with the spiritual/unseen side to humanity and how humans have always created such magnificent stories about the natural order of things before science gave us so much. I try to stand in the middle mostly and see how both sides could be right in the end. One side pragmatic, one side so poetic and inquisitive.... I dunno, just my thoughts!
Anytime anyone says they have the absolute answer, or that they know the one-size-fits-all TRUTH for all humanity, I personally run in the opposite direction. No one has all the answers, just shaky certainty that they do, and that reeks of unsettled fear within them and their inability to question... nothing that I want to be a part of, and least evolved of all. We come into this world alone, unlike any other down to our fingerprints, so our personal reflection of the Divine and how it is to be expressed and nurtured I think is just as personal... The Bible says that 'The Spirit of Fear is not of the Lord" so I am always puzzled with many religious people's inability to truly question their beliefs... it makes little sense to me, so because of this, I don't see myself being changed by Yahoo Q & A, just nice to get a glimpse into what others are thinking and saying....

Yahoo Q & A has motivated me to explore some new religions and philosophies, such as deism and paganism, which I never learned about before. While these things are interesting to learn and think about, they have not made me into a believer. If anything, yahoo q & a has helped me go from an agnostic to atheist.

Yes. Didn't realise there was such vehemence against people believing in the possibility of a life form higher than human. Or that there were so many with such a fundamentalist Old Testament view of Christianity. Quite an eye opener.

Not at all, just has shown there are intellegent people on both sides, and as many idiots on both sides.
But for people to judge an entire group because of a few postings by a minute percentage of people on Yahoo Q&A no matter what side of the fence your on is rediculous. To do that puts you on the idiot side.

Yes I really didn't know there were so many atheist out there. Although they didn't change my beliefs they just made me believe in the bible even more. The more they bash me the , more I realize Jesus was correct when he said people would be against Christians.

Yes it has. Before I started participating here I knew nothing about atheism. I found them to be intelligent and witty. I knew Christianity was about dogma and control but I had no idea how brainwashed so many people can be.

Yes, I was an atheist before, but I still had some respect for Christianity. Now I've realised that most of them are complete wack jobs.
