On a small scale I recycle, reduce consumption of fossil fuels and other resources, use less energy, think about the products I buy (where they came from, what they're made of, how much packaging they have etc).
On a medium scale we're looking at sharing a wind turbine with some neighbours and producing our own electricity and selling the surplus to the electric companies. Last year we planted 50,000 trees in three forest plantations in Africa, enough to go carbon negative for about 10,000 years.
On a large scale I'm involved in researching geoengineering schemes - ambitious plans to reduce the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere and / or reduce the warming effect of the sun.

First off, global warming is a natural environmental process. You can't stop it. It would be occurring now even if we were still living like cavemen. Warming and cooling trends have been alternating since the earth began and will continue to do so long after our time. Give it a little while (well, a little while in terms of a planet that's been around for eons) and people will be freaking out about global cooling.
Yes, greenhouse gases caused by industrial processes do increase the effects of global warming, but not to the degree that people seem to think. 1.3 degrees (Fahrenheit) total increase of average global surface temperature over the past 100 years, taking into consideration the fact that we are already in the middle of a natural warming trend, does not seem to me to be that big of a deal.
Also, the world is going to change whether we like it or not. Species come and go and evolve. Climate-related extinctions will happen despite our best efforts to prevent them; they've been happening for millions of years, and new species have always cropped up to replace the old. The earth's appearance changes; heck, the Sahara used to be a massive rainforest.
So really, there's nothing we can do in the big picture of things to stop global warming, but then there's nothing we need to do. Yes, the world at large could stand to be more environmentally aware, but not for the sake of preventing global warming- we need to protect our environment for the sake of being good stewards of the earth God gave us.

One suggestion is that in simple terms decrease utilization of autos yet surely people never ever like this recommendation in simple terms end motor vehicle utilization for a small distance of a KM or 2. it could decrease air pollution and then next element is strengthen woodland conceal by utilising increasing the afforestation it could soak up greater CO2 so the evoparation of sea would be decreased so annoying snow fall and rains would be decreased and the soil erosion would be prevented.

Switch off the light when I leave the room to save electricity.
Buy appliances which use less electricity such as an LCD monitor instead of a CRT monitor and energy saving light bulbs.Use less paper as possible and don't switch on the heater even if the water is cold as I can manage.
There are so many ways we can contribute to our environment...

I took the time and watched the movie listed below. It changed my mind from unsure on this subject to my position now. That is to say if there has been an increase in temps.it has been minimum at best..06c+ is not going to melt much in my neighbourhood,or anywhere else for that matter.I truly believe in recycling and reducing(been doing for more than 25 years)but all the fear monglers trying to scare folks into believing as they do is simply wrong.
Again,I have no problems with a green earth, but threatening people with myths and innuendo borders on criminal behaviour.
