I have been practicing MMA for about 8 years now but I don't know lately I've
been becoming frustrasted with it. I'm tired of all the politics involved in it and some
of the people too. Anyone else feel this way sometimes?

I'm not involved with MMA so I'm not sure what you mean by the politics involved. When I was in the ATA (please forgive me) things were political in the sense that certain members of our dojang were given preferential treatment over others who had contributed more and longer. What happened in our school was the jr. instructor who was being disrespected broke off from our chief instructor and aligned himself with the USTF. From my understanding the USTF came into being because of peoples frustrations with the politics of the ATA. That was nigh on fifteen years ago and I have no clue what's going on with those two organizations these days, nor do I care. To bring it full circle I suggest if this is the sort of political crap you're talking about look for another school or if you feel you're ready start your own.

Been in a similiar situation, try another sport. I surfed and reconnected with something I've always enjoyed as a teenager. Then went back into training after a few months. Felt like a beginner all over again. I'd missed being competitive one on one. It was good to get away for awhile. Seemed to have worked for me.
Good luck!

I would try another Dojo, or maybe a whole other Martial Art. Your mind and your body may just need a break from the regular routine.
Take other courses for a few months, then go back. If your still sick of it, just start going somewhere else.

Well, there will always be politics in clubs and dojos... especially when there are more than one "high ranking" seniors or instructor around.

It may not be a bad thing... Like over at my side, black belts fight to teach better students so they can tell others that they teach better students... This way, you know that some students will also train harder to gain favor from instructors... It may be tiring and childish at times but it helps a lot in overall improvement... If you hate this, then just do wat i always do -- shut up and train:)

Hope this helps.

Go to different dojos and workout with different senseis and give up that MMA garbage. Take real martial arts like kung fu, karate, or Judo and get into BUDO not MMA fakery.

Rise above it all and simply refuse to play the political games. When someone starts talking politics at you, look at that person and say, "You're going to have to play alone today, I'm not playing." Eventually, if others follow your example, the political players will get frustrated and quit because no one is playing with them.

You need to rediscover the reason why you started MMA in the first place and ask yourself whether you've met it and fulfilled your goals or not. Then you need to decide whether it was all worth it or not. If not, then maybe it's time to move on to something else. Sometimes, we need to move on to keep growing, otherwise, we'll just stagnate if we get stuck in limbo goin around in circles.

Patience has a limit for everybody, perhaps you need a brake from it to vent out. I wouldn't throw away 8 years of training.

good luck!
