Make sure you have protein in the fridge (soy nuts, meat, fish, whatever) in snack sized portions. So when you open the fridge, grab for the protein. Also drink an 8 ounce glass of water whenever you open the fridge. The protein will help balance your blood sugar (which may be low - something that can cause cravings) and the water will help you feel full.

Look at what you have written: "I can't stop eating" ..."I've tried every kind of diet".....these things have you fail before you even start. It is conditioning of the brain that has you opening the fridge every 1/2 hour...it is conditioning that will have you stop that process. With anything you would like to quit doing, you must first be in the proper mindset to succeed...right now you focus too much on failure. Turn it around...tell yourself "I can do it"!! Right now your brain says 'can't do it' because you told it so. Then stop dieting! To end this cycle and lose weight, it's all in portion control (think about it and you'll see that this is the problem). Your brain already resists this, so stop saying you're dieting. It's a lifestyle modification as you want a healthier eating habit for the rest of your life. Deprogram yourself. Only allow yourself to eat at certain times of the day, and STICK to those times! Do not eat anything in between. When you find yourself opening up the fridge...close it firmly and tell your brain "NO" with conviction. You can do this!!

I too love food. Diets dont work b/c they are diets. Experts know this. Life changes work diets dont b/c eventually you revert back to you old life style and bada bing any weight you jsut lost is back and prolly with more or it too. You're body went into shock saying "Whoa, we just burned more off then we normally do in a very short time. We better make more fat b/c this might be our last chance for survival."
That is precisely the reason diets dont work, So if you want a new body your going to have to insert willpower and control.
The question is do you want to change or do you want the comfort foods. Most people when stressed will always go back to what soothes them the most. For you its food. You find great pleasure in it.
Do your self a favor. Toss all the snack foods. Give them away. Toss the Soda too.
Now Go buy endless supplies of Veggies. Believe it or not i just devoured 2 bundles of brocolli in 24 hours not because I love it or live for it but because its the only thing i have avail that was ready to eat. I cheated and used some soy ginger dressing . It was very tasty and im normally a starch type of guy.
Go buy fruits if your a sweet tooth. I ate an apple and graprefruit onthe way to work everyday for 3 months. I work in a restaurant so food is at my fingertips. By eating the fruit on the way to work I wouldnt be hungry enough to where I "jsut had to eat something"
Plus with the energy you put into eating lettuce apples and celery the calories gained are dramatically reduced. Much less then say one or two snickers bars that you may devour and still be hungry after.
When I did eat something like pasta and creme sauce (which is a must have for my tastebuds) then i would eat only a few bites and portion it out over time in my regular diet. This way I'm not building a huge demand on something that can wreak what i've been working so hard on all week.
Moderation of the high desire and caloric foods is what you need when you face food you cant say no to.
Also, Drink water. Yeah at first you wont like it. But you'll develope a taste for it. As a former soccer athelete for college there really is nothing like cool water to quench a thirst, where as soda I can drink can after can bottle after bottle absorbing all those calories and still wanting more.
I'm assuming your unhappily overweight so forget the jumping its not going to do much for you as for as burning fat. Light cardio and I mean very very light is what you need "To Start".
I really suggest walking. forget the treadmills they do half the work for you. Just walk around the block tomorrow morning. BRING MUSIC! its a must.
The next day walk a little more try to do it at the same time as you did before so you can build a routine. I dont suggest jogging or running if your not use to moving around its too much a work load until you build up your tollerance towards working out.
If your really overweight a fast walk will elevate your heartrate enough so you can burn fat. try to walk for atleast 10 minutes. usually a work out needs a good 20 minutes of a elevated heart level to start burning gobs of calories. your not at that level yet so start small and work your way up.
Curbing what you eat and adding exercise will take inches from your wasteline so long as you stick with it. Don't think of it as a comitment for days weeks or months. Jsut break it down day by day for your wrok outs and hour by hour for your eating.
How do long distance runners run 20 miles a day. Simple one step at a time. Focus and control yourself.
Best of luck.
-Joe

cook 100% of your food from scratch and consume only whole foods. I've never seen anybody get fat eating skinless chicken breasts, broccoli and salad.
if the diet consists of mainly whole foods most will not consume as mainly calories daily as when compared to following a diet that is high in processed foods

well i would suggest that maybe you think of it like trying to stop smoking or any other addiction, just take baby steps to stopping for ex. wait an hour to eat,and do that for a while then wait and hour and 30 minutes...so on and then evetually you will be eating the same as a normal person, you also have to be fully dedicated to doing it because if you are not it will never wok believe me..

Try this, I lost 23 pounds on this diet because I too love food. Drink lots(I mean LOTS) of water. To make it a little easier to handle you can flavor it with a little bit of lemon or an orange slice. for breakfast eat some low fat yogurt with a sliced banana in it (believe me, it will make you feel very full. For lunch, eat a salad with some grilled chicken breast or tuna and top it with vinger or olive oil, no salad dressing(the calories add up quickly). For supper you can have basically anything since youve filled yourself on low calorie foods for your other meals.

Just eat 6 small meals a day that way you are never hungry and empty your fridge and cabinets of all bad foods.

Fill the fridge with celery! Try snacking on plain popcorn, it will fill you up better than chocolate etc.

It sounds like you have an eating disorder. See a doctor.
Get involved in other activities. Don't stay in the house.
Try WeightWatchers - it worked for me - or Overeaters Anonymous, which really helped my cousin.
