I'm pretty knowledgable about belief formation, having done a Ph.D. dissertation in the area.
I'm also pretty knowledgable about rocketry, going on my third NASA grant to build and fly high power rockets.

I'm a religion professor at a private university in the American midwest. I'd say that while I am knowledgeable in my field, I'm also even more painfully aware than most people who answer here of how little I know, how much more I wish I did, how uncertain the answers are to many important questions, and how appropriate it is to add a serious dose of humility to one's answers.
My main field, by the way, is Biblical studies - primarily New Testament/Early Christianity. My PhD was on the Gospel of John and the sociological dynamics that shaped the development of this Gospel's unique portrait of Jesus.

Physics including General Relativity, Quantum Mechanics and Cosmology
And of course I am an atheist.

I have some knowledge in a few areas. I like to help if people have a question but mostly I am here to clarify my own ideas in my mind. Nothing works better than having to 'defend' your position, that makes things very clear.

Hello and to say one has knowledge is to say one knows something about a subject and i DO know one thing and i want to share it with you, its found in 1 John 5:12 He that hath the Son hath life; [and] he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that YE MAY "KNOW" that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. IF i have a saving knowledge of eternal life i don't need to be knowledgeable in anything else, IF i DON'T have what other things i say i have knowledgeable about is worthless, right? I know what my opinions are, and I believe the information I hold is probably mostly true. I answer from that basis and have no hidden agenda.

Nothing related to religion. I'm a fountain of useless music trivia, otherwise.
