Generally puppies of that age are fed 4 meals a day. They normally go shortly after eating. They may also go before bedtime, during the night and first thing in the morning. Their little bladders and bowels are growing all the time and gradually they can go longer and longer in between so be patient. Make sure that their waste appears normal and not too loose. I can't remember the correct name but some young puppies have a bacteria present in the gut that can cause the runs and needs medication. Best bet, ask the vet. Also bear in mind the type of food that you are feeding. Puppy food has more vitamins and minerals than adult dog food and if it has too high a meat/protein content then that too can increase the number of motions. Some complete foods/dry or semi moist are more easily digested and cause less waste than using tinned puppy meat and mixer. Hope this helps.

Well my new pup poops constantly. He's an Australian Shepherd, about 16 weeks old. I had a German Shepherd and he was the same as a pup.. poop all day long. When they get closer to 1 year they only poop twice a day. I'm trying to have patience but it's a battle with my little Aussie.. Poop all day long.
I also have a Jack Russel and she pooped all day when she was a pup. Now at 1.5 years old.. it's only twice a day.
Have patience but don't let them get away with too much or else they will dominate you ! Crate training will save your life. Even my Jack Russel loves the crate. I say the words "sleepy time" and she runs into the crate and relaxes. Unless you want a poopie floor.. crate train your pup......

Yorkie poos are mutts/mixed breed dogs and therefore have no written standard as far as looks, actions, temperment, or anything else you can think of. They are MUTTS. But if you think about it, both breeds (Yorkie and Poodle) are big barkers so the likelyhood of a non-barking dog is nil. It would act similar to the parent breeds. Why not just go adopt a small dog from the shelter and find your companion that way.

depends on the size of your puppy, how active they are, and how much they are eating. i have two healthy chihuahua puppies that are very active. They poop about ever hour & a half. The wonderful time of puppy-hood I guess.
As long as his poop looks ok (solid and not discolored), then yeah he is fine. If it doens't look ok, then take him to the vet because he may have a tummy problem or may not be digesting the food you are feeing him right.

My pup did and it was soft and sometimes had mucus in it...turned out it had colitis....now he is a thriving 9mnths old pup with perfect poo! he should be going about 2 or3 times a day!, but I would say if the poo is hard and normal then he should be ok.

There are a bunch of things you should know about dog training but we are going to discuss what I feel are some the most important. Keep in mind that these are only some of the things you should know. Go here http://OnlineDogTraining.enle.info/?2z85
1. Repetition is the number 1 principle of dog training. Dogs just like humans learn by doing things over and over in order to get better.
2. Dog Training can and should be fun for both you and your new pet.
3. Training sessions should always be short but sweet. I never work a dog more than 15 minutes in a session to keep from losing the dog's attention. You should train you dog at least once a day but never more than three formal sessions a day.
4. Your goal should be that each training session is just a little bit better than the last one. You need to always strive to make the training better, slowly. I mention this because quite often I see people who do daily training sessions but the dog never gets better and it is not the dogs fault.
5. Having patients is very important in dog training. Losing your temper does not work with a canine it simply makes things worse.
6. Exercise is very important in the training process to get rid of all the dogs nervous energy.
7. Taking your pet for walks is very important because it develops serotonin which gives your dog a feeling of well being.
8. Always be sure to give your dog a bunch of praise in your training. It is your dog's paycheck for doing a great job.
9. Never hit your dog. I have heard people say I never hit my dog instead I roll up a magazine and swat it. It's the same thing... hitting is hitting.
10. After each training session be sure to do something that your dog will enjoy. Take it for a walk, throw the ball or maybe even rub its belly. Just do something that makes the dog look forward to the next training session.
These are things that I teach my dog training students as well as my dog training clients. I hope these things will give you something to think about when training your dog. Spend some time training your dog daily and you will both reap the benefits.

Yes that is normal. If the dog eats three meals it should go potty after each meal and then a couple extra times. I wouldn't worry about it sounds normal to me.

When ever you feed a puppy, you should put him outside to go to the toilet, so if you feed four times daily this should be all he needs to go, if he is very loose for anytime Vets Please
