I am a bit of a picky eater. I don't eat vegetables and fruits as much as i should, but I do eat a good amount of protien. I want to get in better shape by toning my muscles, and maybe losing a pound or two. The target area I want to hit include my abs, lower back, and legs.

You can eat what ever you want but just eat it in smaller portions, and of course you have to exercise.

Well seeing that you're 14 I hope you know that your body is still changing and you may grow an inch tonight. But as far as being in shape that's a great attitude to have. However, you say you're a picky eater, and that you don't eat vegetables and fruits as much as you should. So is it because you don't like them or you really just don't think to eat them? You should really figure out what fruits and veggies you like, because that is part of a healthy life style. If you're interesting in toning you should try doing some Yoga or Pilate's. Or try a dance DVD. Talk to your parents about seeing your Dr. and ask them if they have any advice on what foods you should be eating.

You are growing and you must eat and you should eat fattening foods, but not bad foods, and drink lots of milk, for the reason that you are soon to become a women. Even menstruation requires levels of body fat. You should not be dieting to lose weight, without a doctor's advice at your age.

You have to be curvy to get and keep a boyfriend.

You should take up a sport that you can continue in later life - for example, golf, ice-skating, and tennis.

Good luck!

Running is the best way to loose weight and get toned.
Start off slow - just try and walk for 30 minuets every day for one week - make sure you keep it interesting and walk different areas from your home.
Next week try jogging 30 min every day.
Week three try jogging 45 min every day.
If you make it to week three you have formed a new habit that will keep you fit and get you in better shape.
