I wouldn't think so if you use a tampon, but I would cancel if you use towels.

I had a brazilian wax yesterday, unfortunately I am suffering from PMS and due to start tomorrow. That being said, you should reschedule!!
I get brazilian waxes several times a year and I have a pretty good tolerance for pain. I usually find it annoying but not painful. Yesterday was a different story. It hurt like hell.
You should definitely reschedule. It will hurt 100 times more than it normally would.

hey sweety......ok coming from a therapist there is no problem to wax your bikini during your period however from your point of view the pain is going to be allot more intense as your hormones will effect the sensitivity especially in the bikini area. if you have a strong pain thresh hold however don't bother about cancelling its going to be over so quick anyway

It's not a good idea to get a bikini wax when you're on your period. According to Seventeen magazine, it hurts twice as much.

If you really need this appointment (eg, you're going on holiday)

I'd say that if you can cope with the pain, you use tampons, and your beautician is okay with it, I don't see why not.

Put your tampon in straight before you go, and use feminine wipes to make doubly sure it's not unpleasant.

I believe the skin is more sensitive during a period and therefore you might find it more painful. but I am sure the beauticians have seen it all before - give them a ring and ask their opinion.

i'd wear a tampon, and just let your waxer know beforehand to make sure they're comfortable with it. as for the pain, a few strong painkillers (like panadol) an hour before should dull it a bit.
