You don't say if this is facial hair, body hair, or the hair on your head?

But, you can have laser therapy. Look in the phonebook for licensed laser hair removal.

Currently, laser hair removal has been cleared by the FDA as "permanent hair reduction" If you look at studies done, however, it works only on light skin and dark hair (with very very few exceptions)--- many people report the hair grows back after some time. It all depends ont eh machien used, your skin and hair color, the technician's experience and ability to operate the machine, tiem interval of treatments.
The only permanent hair removal method to date that has been proven to work is electrolysis. However, it is done follicle by follicle, can be expensive and painful, and time consuming (typical treatment lasts 9-12 months).
You can also go to an Endocrinologist and get tested for hormonal disorders and/or PCOS. If the results come back and it turns out you have soem disorder, they can prescribe pills- usually testosterone blockers.
You can also try taking an anti-androgenic birth control pill which blocks testosterone coming form angdrogenes (but not ovaries..). Some are yasmin, Diane 35 and Mircette.

In theory yes, but in practice no.

If there's not too much of it, do you really need to do anything? Most guys are OK about women with, for example, a slight moustache.

If you do decide you have to do something, then watch you don't get taken in by the enormous amount of false information that's going around.

Facial (and also body) hair on women comes about in the same way as on men because of

1) your body being sensitized, before you were even born, to testosterone -- doesn't happen to all girls, but does to many

2) your body producing high levels of testosterone

The growth rate and coarseness of the hair depends on just how much testosterone is circulating in your bloodstream.

Steer clear of bleaching -- when someone sees you against the light you'll look as if you have a glowing moustache and/or beard.

As far as removing it is concerned it's worth remembering that

* Waxing, plucking, threading, epilating all pull the hair out by the roots and where the growth is hormonally-driven can actually stimulate a dormant follicle into producing more hair quicker. They also distort the root if done repeatedly, leading to hair growing at strange angles. And you've got to let the hair grow to quite a length before you can repeat the exercise. It can also damage the skin and discolor it. Long-term use of waxing also causes bad wrinkles.

* Chemical depilatories strong enough to remove the hair are very likely to burn the skin, cause swelling and cause long-term discoloration of the skin.

* Laser is also liable to cause burning and discoloration and in any case only works effectively on a dark hair/light skin combinantion.

* Electrolysis is very liable to cause scarring and discoloration of the skin.

Which, like it or not, leaves shaving which does not damage the skin. Best done with a men's-style electric razor, the best of which, for women, are probably those from the men's range of Norelco razors (Philishave outside the US). Most women who try a men's Norelco wonder why nobody ever told them about it before.

it works by using light going deep into skin pore burning up the hair root, so tt hair will not grow again.
no pain at all
most impt, it is permanently
usually there is promotion in beauty centre, n it would not be very expensive
if u do not like tt
there is other ways but not permanently, which is waxing
now waxing is improving and it last long
some even provide skin nuterient so tt u can remove hair and improve ur skin
also u can try shaving
there is this machine tt remove hair. this is not a very good method as it will leave 'holes' in ur skin, not tt nice

you can look into electroylisis but it's quite expensive there are home electroylisis kits but I really don't know how effective those are. Waxing is a bit painful but less expensive and the results will last for a few weeks. Then you have your over the cournters such as neet, nair, veet, etc and those typically last a few days to a week.I guess it all depends on what you are willing to spend
